Drug Formulation

5 jin of raw Rehmannia root (pounded, squeezed to extract juice, mixed with half a jin of honey, and simmered over low heat until reduced to a decoction), half a jin of cooked and dried Rehmannia root, 5 liang of Achyranthes root (stems removed), half a jin of apricot kernels (soaked in hot water, skinned and de-tipped, stir-fried with wheat bran until slightly yellow, then ground into a paste), and 3 liang of Terminalia chebula bark.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; mix with the Rehmannia decoction to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 50 pills each time, washed down with warm wine on an empty stomach; take another dose before the evening meal.
