Drug Formulation

Almond kernels (soaked in hot water to remove skin, tip, and double kernels; then stir-fried) 1 liang; Ephedra (roots and nodes removed; boiled in water to skim off foam; then dried in an oven) 2 liang; Licorice (roasted) 1 liang; Perilla seeds (stir-fried) 1 fen; Fritillaria (stir-fried) 1 liang (core removed).

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose; add 1 zhan of water and 1 dried persimmon (sliced); decoct until reduced to 6 fen; strain and take warm—once on an empty stomach, once at noon, and once before bedtime.
