Benefits

For chronic malaria that has not healed and has led to consumptive disease.

Instructions for Use

Place the above herbs in a silk pouch and steep them in two bowls of fine wine from noon until nightfall; leave the pouch exposed under the stars and moonlight in a high, clean place. On the day of the expected attack, during the hours of Yin and Mao, take the mixture slowly; if the patient cannot tolerate alcohol, divide the dose into several smaller portions; if the patient has a cold stomach, the mixture may be reheated until slightly warm, but should not be taken hot, as this may cause vomiting. After taking the remedy, wrap yourself in warm clothing to stay very warm, lie down in a quiet room for one day, and do not bathe. If no reaction occurs after this time, begin eating thin porridge and avoid drafts for seven days. If the condition does not resolve, repeat the treatment as described above.
