Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; use running water to form pills the size of a chicken’s egg, then bake them over low heat until dry.

Instructions for Use

When the mother experiences abdominal pain during childbirth, take one clean scale weight, wash it thoroughly, grind cinnabar into a fine powder, and heat it over charcoal until it glows red. Remove it and drop it into wine; then take one pill with the wine, and the baby will be delivered immediately.To remove a stillborn fetus, take a piece of mercury the size of a soapberry and one stalk of green onion white; grind them into a paste. Add one qianbi of Angelica sinensis powder, mix with half a zhan of hot wine, and take as a single dose. Swallow one pill with the mixture, drinking all the wine; if unable to drink wine, use a small amount of wine mixed with vinegar broth to swallow the pill.
