Drug Formulation

1 viper head (roasted until charred),1 piece of hedgehog skin (roasted until charred), 1 piece of giant clam (roasted), 1 piece of click beetle (raw), 7 leeches (raw), 7 horseflies (wings and legs removed, raw), 7 centipedes (wings and legs removed, raw), 2 centipedes (roasted),large spider (roasted) 3, (various insects) (roasted) 4, thunder beetle (processed) 40, aconite root (processed, split, with skin and pith removed) 3, mercury 1 liang, cinnabar 1 liang, sodium carbonate 1 fen (ground together with mercury and cinnabar until the mercury granules disappear; then stir-fried with a few drops of vinegar), rhubarb (chopped, roasted) 1 liang,Cinnamon Bark (with coarse bark removed) 1 liang, Talc (ground to a powder) 1 liang, Euphorbia (stir-fried with sesame seeds; discard the sesame seeds) 1 liang, Shatang 1 liang, Gypsum (ground to a powder) 2 liang, Sichuan Pepper (remove the seeds and any closed pods; stir-fry until sweating) half a liang,sodium silicate (ground to a powder) half liang, croton seeds (remove skin and core, stir-fried) 15 seeds, dragon bone (ground) 3 fen, alum (calcined, ground to a powder) 1 fen, Coptis (remove stalks) 1 fen, crucian carp scales (roasted) 7 pieces.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 2 pills per dose, increasing to 3 pills if necessary; take on an empty stomach or before bedtime with warm wine. If no burning pain or difficulty in urination is felt, add 1–2 more pills, continuing until symptoms subside.
