Drug Formulation

Asparagus root (peeled and de-seeded, soaked in wine overnight, then pounded into a paste) 3 liang; Ophiopogon tuber (de-seeded and dried in an oven) 3 liang; Raw Rehmannia root (soaked in wine, dried in an oven, avoiding contact with iron) 3 liang; Prepared Rehmannia root (washed with wine, steamed in porcelain, avoiding contact with iron) 3 liang,Ginseng 1 liang 5 qian, Poria cocos 1 liang 5 qian, Dried Chinese yam 1 liang 5 qian, Goji berries 1 liang 5 qian, Sichuan Achyranthes root 1 liang (washed with wine), Dendrobium 1 liang (stem removed, washed with wine), Cassia seeds (lightly roasted) 1 liang, Apricot kernels (skin and tip removed, ground separately) 1 liang, Chrysanthemum flowers (in small coin-sized pieces) 1 liang,Dodder Seed (soaked in wine for three nights, ground separately, and dried in an oven) 1 liang, Trifoliate Orange Peel (stir-fried with wheat bran until yellow) 1 liang, Antelope Horn 1 liang (finely chopped, yielding 8 qian of pure powder), Black Rhinoceros Horn 8 qian (finely chopped, used raw), Schisandra Berry 7 qian (dried in an oven),Licorice 7 qian (roasted), Fangfeng 8 qian (stem removed), White Tribulus 7 qian (thorns removed with a pestle), Coptis 7 qian (hairs removed), Chuanxiong 7 qian, Blue Clover Seeds 8 qian (lightly roasted).
