Drug Formulation

1 pair of deer antlers (use slaughtered ones; remove the top bone, cut into 3-cun lengths, split into two halves, weigh to determine the jin and liang, soak in river water for 7 days, changing the water once daily; once the soaking period is complete, each antler should weigh 1 jin;add 1 liang of high-quality yellow beeswax, place in a porcelain jar, and boil with river water over a mulberry-wood fire for 3 fu hours; do not let the fire go out. If the water level drops, gradually add more. Once the antlers are soft after boiling, scrape off the black skin and retain only the antler powder; dry it in the sun. Simmer the antler broth over low heat until it becomes clear gelatin).

Processing

For each use, take 1 jin of deer antler powder and combine it with 5 liang of top-quality, snow-white Poria cocos (with the black skin scraped off). Pound them together and sift into a fine powder. Mix the powder with deer antler glue water to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 50 pills per dose on an empty stomach, swallowing them with warm wine; the dose may be gradually increased to 100 pills if tolerated. If one does not drink alcohol, they may be swallowed with clear rice water instead.
