Drug Formulation

Cinnamon Twig (peeled) 3 qian; Astragalus (remove the wrinkled skin at the top; moisten thoroughly with honey water; steam for half an incense stick’s duration; remove and roast until dry; coarsely grind on a locust wood block) 5 qian; White薇 (select those produced in Shandong, which are soft, yellow, and fragrant; soak in glutinous rice washing water overnight; remove and sun-dry;chopped on a locust-wood chopping board, then steamed from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM) 5 qian, Tussilago Flower (select those with barely visible flowers; if already fragrant, they lack potency; remove the inner flower stamens, husks, and inner seeds resembling millet husks, as well as stems and leaves; soak in licorice water overnight, then mix with Tussilago leaves, steam overnight, remove the leaves, and sun-dry) 3 qian,Peony Root (peel off one layer of bark; moisten with honey water; steam three times; sun-dry three times; coarsely grind) 6 qian; Gypsum (grind to a fine powder; wash with licorice water; clarify; sun-dry) 5 qian; Anemarrhena Rhizome (coarsely grind on a locust wood block; pound to a paste in a dry wooden mortar) 5 qian.
