Drug Formulation

8 liang of Cold Water Stone, 8 liang of Gypsum, 8 liang of Talc, 8 liang of White Ocher, 8 liang of Dragon Bone, 3 liang of Cinnamon Bark, 3 liang of Licorice (roasted), 3 liang of Oyster Shell (roasted), 4 liang of Red Ocher, 4 liang of Dried Ginger, 4 liang of Rhubarb, and 1 liang of Rhinoceros Horn (ground into powder).

Processing

Pound the ingredients, sift them through a horsehair sieve, and place them in a leather pouch. Tie the top tightly and hang it in a high, cool place.

Instructions for Use

To prepare, boil 1 sheng of water until it comes to a boil 5–6 times; add 1 fangcun bi of the medicine; boil for another 7–8 times; remove from heat, let settle, strain, and drink all at once. It may also be taken daily; there are absolutely no contraindications. For children, adjust the dosage as appropriate.

Note

Avoid raw scallions, seaweed, and Chinese cabbage.
