Drug Formulation

Coptis rhizome 1.5 qian (washed with wine), Scutellaria root 1.5 qian (washed with wine), Phellodendron bark 1.5 qian (washed with wine), Gardenia fruit 1.5 qian, Rhinoceros horn 2 qian (preferably ground into a fine powder with water; shavings are also acceptable), Raw Rehmannia root 2 qian (soaked in wine, then pounded), Moutan bark 2 qian, Peony root 2 qian.

Instructions for Use

First, decoct the first seven ingredients in water and strain out the residue; add Rehmannia and decoct for several more boils; filter to clarify; add lotus root node juice and Platycladus orientalis juice, along with a small amount of finely ground ink; stir until the mixture turns black; and take it.
