Drug Formulation

Equisetum ash (any amount; burn to ash, line with paper, extract the juice, and refine until it becomes a paste, approximately 2 spoonfuls), realgar 1 qian, cinnabar 1 qian, talcum powder 1 qian, musk 1 qian, toad ash 1 qian, sulfur 1 qian, and alum ash 1 qian.

Processing

Grind the latter seven ingredients into a powder, mix with the concentrated ash-and-mugwort juice, and simmer until it becomes a paste.

Instructions for Use

Apply the ointment; replace it when dry. If the ointment hardens, moisten it with vinegar.
