Drug Formulation

1 liang of cinnabar; 4 pieces of aconite root (each weighing at least 6 qian; remove the skin and navel; use raw; cut off the top of each piece; hollow out the center; place cinnabar inside; cover securely with the cut-off top; tie with thread);2 large papayas (peel and remove seeds; cut off the top; place 4 Aconite roots and cinnabar inside; cover with the original papaya top; tie securely with thread; steam until soft; remove the Aconite roots, slice them, roast until dry, and grind into powder. Grind the cinnabar separately into a fine powder.Grind the papayas into a paste), 2 liang of deer antler (sliced and roasted in clarified butter), 1 liang of Angelica sinensis (washed and roasted),Polygala root 2 liang (core removed, dried), Cuscuta seed 1.5 liang (soaked in water, steeped in wine, ground into a paste until soft, then dried and ground into a powder), Biota seed 1 liang (ground separately), Agarwood 1 liang, Eucommia bark 1.5 liang (coarse bark removed, steeped in wine overnight), Morinda root 1 liang (core removed),Cistanche (finely sliced, soaked in wine overnight, then roasted) 1 liang, Astragalus (honey-fried) 1 liang, Schisandra (peeled) 1.5 liang, Achyranthes (stems removed, chopped, soaked in wine, then dried) 1 liang, Dendrobium (stems removed, soaked in wine overnight, then dried) 1 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 1 liang each of Poria (removed heart) and dried Chinese yam, grind them into a fine powder, and boil with wine to form a paste. Combine this paste with the wood apple paste and the powdered herbs to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 50 pills per dose on an empty stomach with rice water; warm wine or salted Acorus calamus decoction may also be used as a vehicle.
