Drug Formulation

1 raw Aconite root (weighing 9 qian or more; remove the skin and pith, then slice; pounding it into pieces is also acceptable), 10 Jin dates, and 2 liang of ginger (sliced).

Instructions for Use

Use 3 large bowls of water; add the Aconite, Jin dates, and sliced ginger. Decoct in a silver or stone vessel over a charcoal fire. Set aside 1 bowl of water; as the mixture comes to a boil, gradually add the reserved water in small amounts until it is all used up, then decoct until the volume is reduced to 1 large bowl.strain out the residue; add 2 zhan of water and decoct until reduced to 1 zhan; combine this with the previous 1 zhan. Add 1 qian of ground agarwood and 1 qian of rock salt; bring to a boil once more and stop. Allow to cool to room temperature, divide into two doses, and take them. After finishing the first dose, eat a steamed bun to settle the medicine. Warm the second dose using a double boiler; do not re-decoct it.
