Drug Formulation

10 liang of sesame oil, 10 egg yolks, 5 qian of human hair, 81 seeds of Gastrodia elata (with pulp), 3 liang of white beeswax, 2 liang of refined yellow丹, 3 qian of frankincense, 3 qian of myrrh, 3 qian of mercury oxide, 3 qian of pearl, 3 qian of dragon’s blood, 3 qian of catechu, 2 qian of cinnabar, 1 qian of borneol, and 0.5 fen of musk.

Processing

Melt the sesame oil, beeswax, and human hair residue together; dry the Tianma seeds until charred; remove the dregs and add the beeswax. Once melted, remove from heat; after a short while, add the orpiment and stir until uniform; then add the remaining fine ingredients, mix thoroughly, and set aside for use.
