Drug Formulation

Raw Bai Chou, processed Bai Chou, raw Hei Chou, Acanthopanax bark, and white fresh bark—each in equal parts; 4 liang of Smilax glabra; 4 liang of lard.

Instructions for Use

Place Tu Fuling and lard together in a pot and simmer with water until thoroughly softened; strain the liquid and use it to mix with the powdered herbs from the previous recipe. Take as directed; results are typically seen within 3–5 days. Young and robust individuals may take multiple doses; the elderly and frail should limit intake to 1–2 doses and avoid excessive use. After 5 days of treatment, take the Internal Tonifying Decoction. Take 1–2 doses of this decoction before resuming the original treatment.
