Drug Formulation

1 large pig’s stomach (thoroughly washed), 1 jin of sulfur (crushed), and 1 jin of white mulberry bark (fresh, coarsely chopped).

Processing

Place the sulfur inside the stomach and sew it shut. In a large pot, add the white mulberry bark and water, then simmer over low heat. Top up the water as it evaporates. After simmering for one fu, remove the pig’s stomach, rinse it in cold water, and discard it. Place the medicinal ingredients in a dry basin to sun-dry, then grind them into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use

Take half a qian per dose on an empty stomach, with tea or wine; or mix with glutinous rice porridge to form pills the size of mung beans. Take 5 pills per dose, washed down with warm wine.
