Drug Formulation

Half a liang of Phellodendron bark, 1 liang of Sophora root, 1 liang of Ligusticum root, 1 liang of sulfur, half a liang of Cnidium fruit, half a liang of talcum powder, and 6 liang of lard.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; boil the pork lard to remove impurities, then mix it thoroughly with the powdered herbs until the consistency is just right.

Instructions for Use

For cases affecting the entire body, apply the ointment all over the body, ensuring no area is missed; first, scratch the skin with fingernails to break the surface. It is best to apply this ointment at night; in the early morning, bathe in a concentrated decoction of Gaoben.
