Drug Formulation

Ephedra (with roots and nodes removed) 5 jin (simmered with 2 shi of river water to form a paste), white mulberry bark (preferably from underground) 2 liang, Chuanxiong 2 liang, Angelica dahurica 2 liang, Atractylodes lancea (peeled) 2 liang, Glycyrrhiza (using only the stem) 2 liang, Sophora flavescens 3.5 liang.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder and mix with the ephedra paste to form pills the size of a marble.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill per dose, dissolve it in 1 zhan of warm wine, and consume it all at once. Induce sweating before bedtime; repeat the treatment after 5–7 days, at which point the hands and feet should feel light and agile. For infantile convulsions, administer the appropriate dosage; for stroke accompanied by profuse drooling, use this formula after the drooling has subsided.
