Drug Formulation

5 qian of mercury, 2.5 qian of lead (melted with mercury), 1 liang of soapstone alum, 1 liang 3 qian 5 fen of sodium carbonate, 5 qian of rock salt, 1.5 qian of borax, 1.5 qian of white arsenic, 1.5 qian of realgar.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a powder; mix with glutinous rice paste to form strips, each about the length of three incense sticks.

Instructions for Use

Depending on the severity of the infection, make a single puncture on the side, squeeze out the foul blood, insert a rice-grain-sized amount into the puncture, cover it with the ointment, and make four incisions to allow the toxic qi to fully escape.
