Drug Formulation

3 liang of Angelica sinensis, 3 liang of Ligusticum chuanxiong, 3 liang of Sichuan pepper, 3 liang of Angelica dahurica, 3 liang of Evodia rutaecarpa, 3 liang of Aconite root, 3 liang of Aconite tuber, 3 liang of Acorus tatarinowii.

Processing

Coarsely crush the ingredients. Soak them in strong wine for two nights, then simmer with 4 jin of lard until the mixture turns yellow; strain out the residue.

For headache and stiffness in the neck due to cold damage, accompanied by restlessness and pain in the limbs.

Instructions for Use

Take three doses, each the size of a jujube pit, and swallow with warm wine three times a day. If sweating does not occur, slightly increase the dose. This formula may be taken orally or applied topically. If, within one day of contracting cold damage, one suffers from severe headache and stiffness in the back, topical application is particularly effective.

Note

Avoid pork.
