Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take one white-feathered black-boned male chicken, one that has just begun to crow; strangle it to death, dry it, and remove the feathers. Do not scald it with water, nor wash it with water; use water only to remove the coarse skin from the feet. Place the chicken in a porcelain vessel with good wine and 2 liang of Rehmannia glutinosa (cooked), and simmer until the chicken is tender. Remove the bones, combine with the previously prepared herbs, and pound into a paste. Shape into cakes, sun-dry them, and grind into a fine powder. Use the wine from simmering the chicken to mix with glutinous rice flour into a paste, then form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 70–80 pills per dose, washed down with wine, 2–3 times a day, at any time. Results are seen within one month.
