Drug Formulation

5 liang of raw Paulownia bark, 5 liang of raw Gentiana root, 5 liang of raw white mulberry bark, 5 liang of raw green bamboo shavings, 5 liang of raw white cypress bark, 1 bee hive, 1 hedgehog skin, 1 snake shed skin, 1 liang of realgar, 1 liang of orpiment, 0.5 fen of Sichuan pepper, 0.5 fen of Aconite root, 0.5 fen of Ligusticum root.

Processing

Coarsely crush the ingredients. Soak them in 2 dou of three-year-old vinegar overnight, then dry them over charcoal fire. Pound the mixture, sift it through a fine sieve, and add 2.5 sheng of lard. Simmer over low heat, stirring until the mixture becomes as thick as malt syrup. Transfer to a new, unglazed white porcelain container.

Instructions for Use

Apply a small amount according to the severity of the condition, and take a dose the size of a jujube seed with clear wine once daily.
