Drug Formulation

Half a liang of ginseng, half a liang of white poria, half a liang of white atractylodes (roasted),half liang of cardamom (wrapped in flour and slow-roasted), half liang of wood fragrant, half liang of astragalus (chopped), half liang of white aconite, half liang of patchouli, half liang of aged tangerine peel (soaked in hot water, white pith removed, and dried), half liang of white silkworm pupae (straight ones are best), half liang of防风, half liang of羌活,Winter melon seeds (lightly roasted, kernels removed) half liang, Chinese yam half liang, Ligusticum root half liang, Northern Pinellia rhizome half liang (each broken into four parts, coated with a mixture of vinegar and yellow earth, then boiled until a white spot the size of a soybean appears; rinse off the mud before use), licorice 1 qian (roasted until slightly reddish).

Instructions for Use

For a 3-year-old child, use 1 qian of the mixture per dose. Add 1 zhan of water, 3 slices of fresh ginger, and 1 Huai date. Decoct until reduced to 5 fen, strain, and administer warm; no specific time of day is required.
