Drug Formulation

Ren Zhong Bai (prepared by placing 30 jujubes in an old chamber pot, filling it 8 fen with wine, sealing it with salt mud, and calcining it over charcoal. When the wine has evaporated by 3 fen, reseal the opening and continue calcining over a low charcoal fire overnight; remove the jujubes and collect the white residue) 4 qian,2 qian of antelope horn, 2 qian of raw Rehmannia root, 2 qian of Angelica sinensis, 2 qian of Artemisia annua seeds, 2 qian of Bupleurum chinense (silver variety), 2 qian of soft-shelled turtle shell (washed and roasted with vinegar), 2 qian of donkey-hide gelatin beads, 2 qian of Atractylodes macrocephala (steamed with earth; must not be stir-fried), 2 qian of white peony root (stir-fried), and 4 qian of prepared Rehmannia root.
