Drug Formulation

Polygala root (core removed) 1 liang, paper mulberry seeds (roasted) 1 liang, Morinda root (core removed) 1 liang, Poria cocos (peeled) 1 liang, Schisandra berries (stems removed) 1 liang, Eucommia bark (chopped, treated with ginger, roasted to remove fibers) 1 liang, imported anise (roasted) 1 liang,Dodder Seed (rinsed to remove mud, soaked in wine overnight, ground into a cake) 1 liang, Rubus Fruit (those from the northern regions that are firm and solid are especially good) 1 liang, Euryale Seed (dried, shell removed) 1 liang, Cornus Fruit (pits removed) 1 liang, Dried Chinese Yam 1.5 liang,Cistanche (washed in wine, outer skin removed, sliced, soaked in wine overnight, then baked) 1.5 liang, Chinese papaya (seeds removed, sliced, baked) 1.5 liang, Smilax glabra 1.5 liang, Achyranthes root (soaked in wine, chopped, soaked in wine overnight, then dried) 2 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 200 plump, uncracked northern jujubes and 4 liang of Cnidium monnieri seeds, boil them in water until tender, then remove the Cnidium monnieri seeds. Use the jujube flesh (peeled, pitted, and de-seeded) to mix with the powdered herbs, then pound into pills the size of a tung tree seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 30–50 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with warm wine.
