Drug Formulation

2 liang of raw Pinellia, 2 liang of raw Euphorbia, 4 qian of raw Strychnos, 3 qian of raw Manis, 3 qian of raw Sapindus, and 2 qian of dragon’s blood (mixed separately with flour).

Processing

Fry the first five ingredients in 6 liang of sesame oil until charred, strain out the residue, add orpiment to thicken the ointment, then mix in the dragon’s blood-flour mixture until uniform.

For scrofula, spread the ointment on a cloth according to the size of the affected area and apply it; when spreading the ointment, mix in a small amount of musk.
