Benefits

Indications: Internal stagnation of phlegm-fire; invasion of wind-heat; restlessness and excessive thirst; mental agitation; sores on the mouth and tongue; dry and sore throat; fullness and distension in the chest and epigastrium; numbness in the limbs; itchy skin; dry and hard stools; red and scanty urine; accumulated heat and febrile convulsions in children; and nocturnal emissions.

Instructions for Use

Begin with 10–15 pills; increase the dose by 10 pills with each subsequent administration. Take with warm water; cold water is also acceptable. Take three times daily. It is even better to mix the pills with refined honey; adjust the dose until bowel movements occur. If the heat is severe and urgent relief is needed, take 40–50 pills immediately; if bowel movements do not occur, take another dose, adjusting the amount as needed. For children aged 3–5 years, the pills should be the size of a sesame seed. This medicine is exceptionally effective; regular doses of 20–30 pills do not harm the internal organs but are beneficial without causing harm.

Note

This formula is contraindicated for those with loose stools, severe cold symptoms, and a slow pulse; women with menstrual disorders; those experiencing unstoppable postpartum bleeding; and pregnant women. It should not be taken lightly unless there is severe real heat in the qi and meridians; when taken regularly, a smaller dose is preferable to a larger one.
