Drug Formulation

Talc 12 jin (grind finely; soak in a decoction of 30 liang of raw licorice until all the licorice decoction is absorbed; grind extremely fine; sun-dry; subsequently mix with the following seven liquids in sequence and sun-dry each time), fresh radish juice (used to mix with the talc before sun-drying; same procedure applies below) 30 liang, fresh agastache leaves 30 liang, fresh perilla leaves 30 liang, fresh patchouli leaves 30 liang,fresh side-cypress leaves 30 liang (as it is difficult to extract juice from these, first soak them in raw lotus root juice, then pound them together until pulpy before squeezing out the juice; mix with talc and sun-dry), lotus leaves (select fresh, tender ones; follow the method above) 30 liang, raw rhubarb slices 30 liang (soak in 1 jin of ash-free aged Shaoxing wine, then pound and mix with the liquid; sun-dry).

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose; reduce to half for children. If a medicinal adjuvant cannot be obtained in an emergency, it may be dissolved in boiling water;For external symptoms, apply a paste made with scallion juice; for dysentery with red stools, use 1 qian of black gardenia; for white stools, use 3 slices of ginger, decocted and taken as a solution; for painful dysentery or dysentery with trismus, use 5 fen of Guangmuxiang (ground), dissolved in boiling water; for malaria, use 3 large slices of fresh ginger and 1 qian of ginger-processed Pinellia, decocted and taken; for sore throat and all other conditions, dissolve in plain boiled water.
