Benefits

For wind-deficiency with white mottling over the entire body that has persisted for years without healing.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the above ingredients, place them in a silk bag, and first boil Acorus rhizome in 2 hu 5 dou of water to yield 8 dou. Use this to ferment approximately 1 hu 5 dou of rice. Begin the process on the 7th day of the 7th month; the wine will be fully fermented by the 10th day. Be sure to strain out the sediment for best results; In the winter months, once the wine is ready, strain out the lees and set the medicine aside; place it in a container to allow it to settle and reduce. If no improvement is noticed after one dose, prepare another batch—this is even more effective, and recovery should be expected. Boil the Acorus rhizome again, strain out the dregs, and use the liquid to thoroughly wash the affected areas; this yields even better results.

Note

Avoid eating mutton, malt syrup, carp, pork, wild fennel, chicken, dog meat, and raw or cold foods.
