Drug Formulation
1 liang of Fangfeng, 1 liang of Jingjie, 1 liang of Qianghuo, 1 liang of Duhuo, 2.5 liang of Sesame (roasted), 2.5 liang of Golden-haired Dog (dehaired), 2.5 liang of Kushen (peeled), 2.5 liang of Yazao (peeled and pitted), 2.5 liang of Danggui, 1 liang 1 qian of Cicada Shed,Ginger Silkworm (roasted) 1 liang 1 qian, Whole Scorpion (head, legs, and tail removed) 1 liang 1 qian, White Angelica 1 liang 1 qian, Polygonum Multiflorum (peeled, dehaired, and roasted) 1 liang 1 qian, Xanthium Grass (charred) 5 qian.

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 2 liang of large maple seeds (shells removed) and pound them into a paste. Mix thoroughly with the powdered herbs. Use stale rice porridge to form pills the size of a tung seed.

Instructions for Use
Take 40–50 pills per dose. If the patient has swollen bones, unrelenting itching above the eyebrows, or if wind-induced symptoms cause the eyes to bulge and the hands and feet to become stiff, first take one liang of this medicine with green tea, four times daily.Or for women suffering from numbness in the limbs, a pricking pain in the hands, or sores on the legs and knees: first take one dose of “Duoming,” followed by this “Shenghua Dan.” Ten days after starting the medication, perform bloodletting on the bridge of the nose, followed by the upper arms, and then the legs and feet; when the weather is clear, perform bloodletting once every 5–6 days. Adjust the frequency according to the severity of the illness; do not perform bloodletting indiscriminately. For women, frequent bloodletting is not harmful.
