Drug Formulation

1 fen of ground mineral sulfur, 1 fen of calcined white alum, 1 fen of ground cinnabar, 1 fen of mercury, 1 fen of musk, and 1 fen of powdered Phellodendron bark.

Instructions for Use

Mix the above herbs with mercury and grind them in a porcelain bowl until the mercury is fully absorbed. Then mix with lard from a pig slaughtered in the 12th lunar month until it forms a paste. First wipe the affected area clean, then apply the paste 3–5 times daily until healed.
