Drug Formulation

5 liang of pine resin (boil with 1 dou of mulberry-wood ash lye until reduced to just over 3 sheng, then pour into cold water and let it solidify;separately use 1 dou of whey, boil again until reduced to just over 3 sheng, then pour into cold water and allow to solidify; use 1 dou of clean water, boil until reduced to just over 5 sheng, then pour into cold water and allow to solidify; remove and, once dry, combine with the other ingredients for medicinal use), 3 liang of tiger shin bone (coated with butter and roasted until golden),3 liang of Aconite (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed), 3 liang of Achyranthes root (stems removed), 2 liang of sour jujube seeds (lightly roasted), 3 liang of coix seeds, 3 liang of Notopterygium root, 2 liang of white Aconite root (roasted until cracked), 1 liang of cinnamon bark, 1 liang of Angelica root (chopped, lightly roasted), 2 liang of myrrh, and 1 fen of musk (finely ground).
