This is an alternative name for the “Chili Jia Pills” cited in *Guangji Fang* and quoted in *Wai Tai*, Volume 13.,Warms and unblocks the orifices; regulates qi and relieves pain. Indicated for stroke or qi collapse, sudden fainting with clenched jaws and loss of consciousness; or sudden illness caused by external pathogens or internal disturbances, with fullness and pain in the chest and abdomen; or sudden coma due to phlegm obstruction and qi stagnation; as well as epidemic diseases and cholera, with abdominal distension and chest fullness, a desire to vomit or have a bowel movement but being unable to do so, and in severe cases, loss of consciousness.Currently used for cerebrovascular accidents, coronary heart disease, hysteric syncope, epilepsy, as well as sudden syncope caused by cold obstruction, qi stagnation, or phlegm-turbidity obstructing the meridians.

Drug Formulation
Chi Li Jia (i.e., Atractylodes macrocephala), Bright Sand (ground), Musk, Terminalia chebula bark, Cyperus rotundus, Agarwood (heavy variety), Aquilaria agallocha, Clove, Benzoin, White Sandalwood, Piper longum, and Rhinoceros Horn—30 grams each; Aquilaria sinensis, Suhexiang, and Borneol—15 grams each.

Processing
Grind the above fifteen ingredients into a very fine powder, sift it, then simmer with white honey, skim off the foam, and mix into pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use
Take 4 pills upon waking; crush them in a clean container with well water and consume. The elderly and children should crush and take 1 pill each.

Contraindicated in cases of collapse syndrome, heat-induced obstruction, and during pregnancy.
