Chinese Name : 太碧丹

Drug Formulation

2 qian of Bright Sand, 1 qian of Talc, 1 qian of Talcum Powder, 1 qian of Imported Sulfur, 1 qian of Eagle Droppings, and 7 seeds of Small Croton (spotted variety; remove the inner membrane, soak in water overnight, rinse 2–7 times, grind into a paste, and remove the oil).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder and mix thoroughly. Add castor oil paste and simmer until well blended. Form into pills the size of mung beans using red rice, and coat with indigo powder.

Instructions for Use

One pill for a half-year-old, two pills for a one-year-old; adjust the dosage according to the child’s size. Administer throughout the four seasons: in spring and winter, take with a decoction of steamed soapberry; in autumn and summer, take with a decoction of radish; if the child is startled, take with a decoction of Jinqian mint.
