Drug Formulation

1 mantis (large, with wings and legs removed, stir-fried until dry), 30 thorn-seed fruits (husked), 2 Aconite roots (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed), 1 Tiannanxing (medium-sized, roasted), 1 fen Fangfeng (with branches removed),1 qian of Asarum (stems and leaves removed), 1 qian of dried scorpion (roasted), 1 large white aconite root, 1 fen of cinnabar (ground), and half a qian of musk (ground).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder and use kerosene to form pills the size of mung beans.

Instructions for Use

Administer 1–2 pills per dose, dissolved in peppermint water, regardless of the time of day. If the child’s eyes roll upward and the jaw remains clenched shut, dissolve 1 pill in vinegar and instill it into the nose.
