Drug Formulation

2 fen of Uncaria, 4 fen of Anemarrhena, 4 fen of Scutellaria, 3 fen of licorice (roasted), 3 fen of Cimicifuga, 3 fen of Glehnia, 6 fen of gypsum, 1 cicada (wings removed, roasted), and 3 beetles (roasted).

Instructions for Use

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with good honey and thin rice water, then place the mixture over a copper bowl of boiling water and stir continuously until it thickens to the consistency of malt sugar. Set aside a small portion.For a 1-day-old infant, administer one dose the size of a jujube pit; for a 5- to 6-day-old, 5–6 doses daily; exceeding the recommended dosage is not harmful. For a 30-day-old, administer three doses; for a 100-day-old, four doses; for a 200- to 300-day-old, five doses; and for a 3-year-old, seven doses—adjust the amount as appropriate.
