Chinese Name : 稀痘三豆汤

Drug Formulation

1 liang of large black beans (rinsed), 1 liang of small red beans (rinsed),1 liang of mung beans (rinsed clean), 2 liang of large licorice root (finely chopped; take one fresh large bamboo tube, leaving the nodes at both ends; drill a small hole; scrape off the bamboo bark; place the licorice inside; plug the hole with a cloth-wrapped wooden mallet tip; seal it with melted wax; tie it with a rope and place it in a manure pit for over a month; remove it three days before the Start of Spring).

Instructions for Use

Boil the beans in water until tender; consume the beans and drink the broth daily on an empty stomach as desired. Alternatively, sun-dry the beans, soak them in the broth, then repeat the soaking and drying process until all the broth has been absorbed. This remedy may be taken when the measles are breaking out or when a fever is about to set in.
