Drug Formulation

10 jin of sodium nitrate, 3 liang of Cimicifuga root, 2 liang of Isatis indigotica, 2 liang of white mulberry bark, 2 liang of locust flowers, 1 liang of rhinoceros horn shavings, 1 liang of antelope horn shavings, 6 liang of Su Fang wood, bamboo leaves, chebulic myrobalan, 30 Chinese gardenias, 20 areca nut kernels, and half a da liang of cinnabar (ground).

Processing

Soak the ingredients in 2 dou of water overnight; decoct until reduced to 1 dou; strain out the residue and transfer the liquid to a pot; add sodium carbonate and melt it while stirring continuously without stopping; when it begins to solidify, transfer it to a basin and continue stirring; add cinnabar and musk; once it has solidified into a snow-like consistency, transfer it to a porcelain container and seal tightly.

Instructions for Use

For other ailments, take an appropriate dose, mix with water, and drink; for all postpartum conditions and miscarriages, mix with wine and drink. Adjust the dosage for the elderly and children.
