Drug Formulation

Xiangfu (soaked in a child’s urine, stir-fried) 1 jin, Zhen Sha (calcined with vinegar) 1 liang, Houpo (stir-fried with ginger juice) 5 liang, Licorice (stir-fried) 1 liang, Chenpi (white pith removed, stir-fried) 3 liang, White Peony Root (stir-fried) 5 liang, Processed Atractylodes 5 liang, Hawthorn Fruit (stir-fried until black) 5 liang, Poria (steamed with milk, sun-dried, and roasted) 3 liang,Green Tangerine Peel (stir-fried) 6 liang, Sophora Root (stir-fried; 2 liang in spring and summer, 1 liang in fall and winter), White Atractylodes (stir-fried with earth) 3 liang.

Benefits

For jaundice resulting from exhaustion or overwork, as well as all types of jaundice accompanied by obesity.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 qian per dose, washed down with rice water; for the weak, take 7–8 fen, washed down with Atractylodes macrocephala decoction. After taking for 7 days, the palms will feel cool, and a reddish flush will appear; with proper care for half a month, the condition will be cured.

Note

Avoid all raw, cold, greasy, and hard-to-digest foods.
