2 qian of purple quartz, 2 qian of daizhashi, 2 qian of snake bile (each heated until red-hot and quenched in rice vinegar), 2 qian of iron powder (thoroughly sifted), 2 qian of cinnabar, 2 qian of dragon’s teeth, 1 qian of white附 (roasted), 1 qian of polygala root (soaked in ginger juice and stir-fried).
