Processing

Place the wax cakes between the liver segments, wrap them in bamboo leaves, tie them securely with thread, and place them in a new sand pot. Cover with water to a depth of 1 cun, add 5–6 he of millet, and simmer until the millet is cooked. Allow to cool, then remove the bamboo leaves.

Benefits

For children with convulsive disorders and a mass under the left flank; for women with postpartum blood stasis, fever, and emaciation.

Instructions for Use

Children may eat these cakes, 2–3 pieces at a time. During the summer months, tie the cakes to a rope and suspend them in a well; ensure they do not change color or develop an unpleasant odor, as children will refuse to eat them otherwise. For severe cases, no more than one or two liver-sized cakes are needed; for milder cases, a few pieces will suffice to stop the fever. After seven days, the accumulation will dissipate and the abdomen will soften.

Note

If the mass is on the right side, it indicates food stagnation; these cakes should not be consumed in such cases.
