Drug Formulation

8 liang of high-quality sheep’s brain and zinc oxide (pounded to the size of a lotus seed, with 1 fen as the standard weight). Place in a new copper pot filled with a child’s urine, soak for 49 days, strain out the old urine, add fresh urine, and simmer for the duration of one stick of incense. When it tastes salty and sour, there is no need to simmer further; do not overcook it. Grind into a fine powder. Place the medicine on a large piece of earthenware shard and calcine over a hard charcoal fire.for the duration of one incense stick. The zinc oxide will gradually turn the color of pine pollen. Carefully remove it, weigh and divide the total into four equal portions. Take one fen of the mixture and boil it three more times in children’s urine, then let it dry.
