Drug Formulation

1 chi of sow’s large intestine (add 4 liang of magnolia bark, tie both ends, place in an earthenware pot, add 3 bowls of water and boil until nearly dry; seal the opening with salt mud to prevent air from escaping; calcine over charcoal fire until the properties are preserved), 2 liang of powdered ivory, 2 pieces of hedgehog skin (calcined to preserve properties), 1 qian of musk,24 pig hooves (sliced and stir-fried in earth), 24 slices of Sichuan pangolin scales (stir-fried in earth), 3 qian of frankincense, 3 qian of myrrh, 3 qian of realgar, 3 qian of Sanguisorba officinalis, 5 qian of rhubarb,7 qian of rock salt, 1 liang of white angelica root, 5 qian of alum, 3 small live turtles (placed in a jar with their flesh, sealed with mud, and calcined to preserve their properties), 1 bee hive (with brood, dried in an oven and ground into powder), 1 yellow ox horn (calcined to preserve its properties), 7 qian of natron,5 qian of acacia flowers (roasted), 1 liang of beeswax, and 5 qian of natural copper (calcined and quenched in vinegar 7 times).
