Drug Formulation

1 liang of Pinellia tuber (Nanxing), 1 liang of Pinellia rhizome (Banxia) (soak both ingredients in a decoction of white alum, soapberry, and fresh ginger for one day and one night until thoroughly permeated; slice them, boil them in the same decoction until dry, then discard the alum, soapberry, and ginger); 3 qian of Sichuan lovage root (Chuanxiong); 1 liang of Angelica sinensis root (Gui Shen, washed with wine); 1 liang of soft gypsum; 7 qian of Gastrodia elata (Tianma); 5 fen of stiffened silkworm (Jiangcan); 1 liang of raw Rehmannia root (Sheng Dihuang, stir-fried with wine);Schizonepeta spikelets 5 qian, cinnabar 5 qian, Sichuan duhuo 5 qian, black rhinoceros horn 5 qian, white Poria (peeled) 1 liang, selected ginseng 1 liang, polygala (soaked in licorice water, core removed) 5 qian,Ophiopogon tuber (core removed) 5 qian, Atractylodes macrocephala (rhubarb oil removed) 5 qian, Dried tangerine peel (white pith removed) 5 qian, Jujube seed (roasted) 5 qian, Scutellaria baicalensis 3 qian, Sichuan Coptis (hairs removed) 5 qian, White Aconite root (baked) 3 qian, Pearl 3 qian, Licorice 3 qian, Gold foil 30 pieces.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; mix with good wine to form a thin paste, then shape into pills the size of a Paulownia seed, and coat with gold leaf.

Instructions for Use

Take 50 pills per dose, washed down with plain hot water on an empty stomach. For mild cases, half the dose is effective; for severe cases, the full dose is required.
