Drug Formulation

1 jin of pine resin (refined), 3 he of (raw) moon-zone fat, 1 liang of pepper leaves, 3 liang of white wax, 1 liang of snake’s jaw, 1 liang of astragalus, 1 liang of ligusticum, 1 liang of white angelica, 1 liang of angelica sinensis, 1 liang of asarum, and 1 liang of peony root.

Processing

Chop the ingredients. First, decoct the animal fat and beeswax in water until completely melted. Add the remaining herbs and bring the mixture to a boil three times, then let it cool three times. When the Angelica dahurica turns yellow, the ointment is ready.

Instructions for Use

Cut a piece of old cloth to fit the size of the sore, apply the ointment, and affix it to the affected area once each day and once each night.
