Drug Formulation

2 liang of wild Aconite (soaked in water until soft, black skin removed, each piece chopped into 2–3 chunks, sun-dried, and those with black cores discarded), 4 liang of Atractylodes (chopped into dice-sized pieces).

Processing

Using a silver wok, add 1 liang of sesame oil and half a liang of salt. First add the Aconite, stir-fry over low heat until it changes color slightly, then add the Atractylodes and stir-fry together. When the Aconite turns brown, transfer the mixture to a mortar while still hot, sift through a fine silk sieve, and shape into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using wheat flour paste.

Instructions for Use

Take 20 pills per dose, on an empty stomach, with warm wine or salted water.
