Drug Formulation

1 large papaya (peel and remove seeds; hollow it out to form a container; place Aconite root inside; be sure to leave the top intact to cover it; secure with bamboo skewers; steam until tender; remove the bamboo skewers), 1 large Aconite root (weighing 7–8 qian; soak in hot water to clean; remove the black skin and navel; hollow out a cavity),1 liang of cinnabar (ground; fill the hole in the Aconite root; any remaining powder should be placed inside the papaya to cover the Aconite root).

Processing

Place the wood apple in a white porcelain bowl inside a steamer and steam for 7 days. Grind it in a cinnabar mortar until it becomes a paste, then mix it with Poria and Polygala powder to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 20 pills per dose, washed down with ginseng decoction; warm wine may also be used.
