Processing

Roast the above herbs until fragrant and thoroughly cooked, then pound and sift into a fine powder. Take half of the mixture and place it in a sheep’s small intestine; boil in wine until fragrant and cooked through, then remove the intestine and collect the powder. Combine this portion with the remaining powder and mix thoroughly. Use the wine used for boiling the herbs to cook a wheat flour paste, then form the mixture into pills.
