Drug Formulation

Yu Yuliang (burned until red, quenched in vinegar 3–5 times; ground separately) 1 liang; Shehuang (burned until red, quenched in vinegar 2–3 times; heated in a sweet pot; ground separately) half a liang; Shilianruo 1 liang (hard variety, stir-fried, peeled, and ground into a fine powder); White Dragon Bone 1 liang (ground separately);Purple Quartz 1 liang (calcined; ground separately), Daizhashi 3 qian (calcined; ground separately), Red Ocher 1 liang (ground separately), Sour Jujube Seeds half a liang (peeled), Frankincense 1 qian (ground separately), Cinnabar 1 qian, White Poria half a liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix thoroughly, and boil jujube pulp to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 20–30 pills at a time, washed down with a decoction of lotus seeds, at any time of day; if unable to sleep at night, take with warm wine flavored with frankincense; for those who do not drink alcohol, take with a decoction of jujube seeds.
