Drug Formulation
Authentic sesame oil 2 jin 4 liang (soak the herbs in it for 5 days in spring, 3 days in summer, 7 days in fall, and 10 days in winter), Angelica sinensis 1 liang,1 liang of Chuanxiong, 1 liang of Fangfeng, 1 liang of Bai Zhi, 1 liang of Cassia Bark, 49 seeds of Mu Jie Ren, 25 seeds of Castor Bean, 49 seeds of Croton Seed, 7 large slices of Pangolin Scale, 30 cun of Sophora Branch, and 30 cun of Willow Branch.

Processing
Soak the above herbs in oil for the required number of days, then decoct over alternating high and low heat until the herbs are charred. Filter thoroughly through 3–5 layers of silk cotton to remove all residue; burn the residue in a silver container to extract the medicinal oil, yielding a total of approximately two jin of pure oil. Next, take one jin of Fei Dan (roasted until black, purified), add it to the oil immediately after removing it from the heat, and gradually stir until evenly mixed. After cooling, add one liang of genuine Asafoetida, dissolve it instantly with scallion juice, and stir until uniform;add one liang each of Frankincense, Myrrh, and Dragon’s Blood, along with five qian each of Cinnamon Bark and Aconite Root, and one qian of Musk—all ground into an extremely fine powder—and gradually stir them in until uniform. Store the mixture in a thick, lidded porcelain jar and seal it tightly; after use, ensure the lid is securely fastened again.

Instructions for Use
When applying, determine the appropriate amount based on the size of the affected area. Spread the paste thickly on a piece of blue cloth; first wipe the area with water and ginger before applying the poultice. After application, warm the area with hot hands or a hot salt poultice.
